30 Important Life Lessons Advice from an 80-Year-Old Man






Let's allow those who are rooted and grounded to show us the land's goods. The aged man has opened up through his experiences, for us to be well directed. 

I had to expand and talk more on some of his advise points, in other for those who may not fully understand to gain insight on them. Have a good time reading this:

1. Have a firm handshake:- It is important to know that having a solid long-term relationship, in business, and other works of life is building a sincere and a truthful agreement that will not cease to stand. Everything built on lies will always collapse.

2. Look people in the eye:- In other for you to get what you actually want, you must know exactly what you stand for.

3. Sing in the shower:- Always enjoy washing out the dirt of yesterday with a sound of greater self.

4. Own a great stereo system:- Take a time out to enjoy yourself. After all, it was never wrong to be alive. Enjoy yourself wisely and rightly.

5. If in a fight, hit first and hit hard:- The best way to defend and defeat you enemies is to be the first to strike in the fullness of your strength.

6. Keep secrets:- Your secret is your power. Though, you don't have to be too secretive. But, have this in the back of your mind: your secret is your inner room of which only you should have every details concerning it.

7. Never give up on anyone. Miracles happen everyday:- Life is full of uncertainties. What is today might not be for tomorrow. Everyone has an appointment time of glory. When the glory of an individual has not yet come, doesn't mean will not come.

8. Always accept an outstretched hand:- Don't feel too overwhelmed of yourself to believe you don't need an helping hand. It's only the foolish that has such mindset.

9. Be brave. Even if you're not, pretend to be:- It takes braveness to withstand obstacles. 

10. whistle:- If you don't create awareness in what you do, you will be like a unmovable river. Advertise yourself. Sell yourself by whistling.

11. Avoid sarcastic remarks:- The foolish waste their time on this, without looking themselves inwardly.

12. Choose your life's mate carefully. From this one decision will come 90 percent of your happiness or misery.



13. Make it a habit to do nice things for people who will never find out.

14. Lend only those books you never care to see again:- You are the books you read. There are books you should never lend to anybody. A man of one book is a man of knowledge, a man of many books is a man of great insights.

15. Never deprive someone of hope; it might be all that they have:- One of the greatest help you can ever give to anyone is a quantified amount of hope. Hope keeps the body moving.

16. When playing games with children, let them win:- Give others a chance. Allow them feel better and victorious. You will feel better to see them happy.

20. Be a good loser:- It is never bad to fail. But, make sure you gave all to it.

24. Take charge of your attitude. Don't let someone else choose it for you.

25. Keep a note pad and pencil on your bed-side table. Million-dollar ideas sometimes strike at 3 a.m.

27. Remember that 80 percent of the success in any job is based on your ability to deal with people.

28. Don't expect life to be fair:- Don't ever think everything you want will come in the platter of Gold. Expect to faces obstacles in your journey to success.

29: Remember no one makes it alone. Have a grateful heart and be quick to acknowledge those who helped you.

30. Don't burn bridges. You'll be surprised how many times you have to cross the same river:- Never destroy the relationship with those people who helped you in your hard times. You may need those people in the future.
