Gonorrhoea is turning an incurable disease --WHO
World Health Organisation(WHO) on Friday raised alarm for the impending danger of Gonorrhoea infections as doctors are seriously running out of antibiotics which is suppose to tackle the growing resistant bacteria bringing the sexual disease.
Gonorrhoea is caused by a bacteria known as Neisseria gonococus which is Sexually transmitted infection(STI)
It is hugely found in discharge from Vaginal fluid and the penis and can quickly be contacted through unprotected vaginal, anal or oral sex.
WHO disclosed that two-third of the countries who have been facing this case in recent years appears that antibiotics which is the lasting defence is no longer kicking against the bacteria
“These cases may just be the tip of the iceberg since systems to diagnose and report untreatable infections are lacking in lower-income countries where gonorrhoea is actually more common,” WHO expert, Teodora Wi, said in Geneva.
According to reports of UN health agency, estimated 78 million people yearly are infected. U.S and Britain faced more than 10 percent increase in 2015.
Fearfully in Africa, one in every 10 men is affected yearly.
